My very first portfolio for product management. The case is supported by Digitalent Accelerator

This case study is the first final project for Product Management Course, UI/UX Course and Project Management Course at Digitalent Accelarator. The project was evaluated on April 2021 (week 1). We were mentored by Harris Kristianto and Andriani Dion throughout the course.

I learn the stages of making product or features as well as synergize with UI/UX and Project Management.

Introduction — What is the project about?

Overview

Gojek is Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand, multi-service tech platform providing access to a wide range of services including transport, payments, food delivery, logistics, and many more.

One of the services is Go-Ride. It aims to cut through the traffic with ease and arrive in style. Why people should choose Go Ride is a fuss-free way to get there, we’re all about safety and pay with ease.

Problem

Many users often oversleep during trip and the drivers do not have a good approach to wake them up. In the other hand, the drivers could do any possible criminal activities (e.g., the drivers take the customer around or intentionally deviate from the direction that has been set in the application).

Project Goal

Provide a product feature that would make users feel safe and secure.

Personal

My personal goal is to expand my own portfolio.

Course Duration

3 months starting from February 2021 — April 2021

Role

  • Product Manager (Fadhilla Atansa Tamardina and Zhorif Maulana Akram)
  • UI/UX Designer (Ika Dwiyulita and Muhammad Fadillah)
  • Project Manager (Rachmat Arriz Saputra)

Product Roadmap

Product Requirement Documents (PRD)

Vision Statement

At any point of time, users can quickly get a consent alert of the app safety and security KPIs most important to them. Drivers also can have well-segmented approach as well as have a good rating.

Metrics

  • # of the segmented user that uses the feature
  • % well-tracked route

Persona

The feature will be used by the users who suddenly oversleep and the drivers who do not have a good approach.

Scope

2 Product Managers, 2 UI/UX Designers, 1 Project Manager, 2 Developers

Features

  • Consent approval in pre-order dashboard for users
  • Consent alert in route dashboard for drivers (if they deviate the route)
  • Customizable emergency contacts in dashboard for users

Milestones

  • Automated messages to the customer service of GoJek and emergency contacts registered after 2 kilometres detected not in the well-tracked route and 20 mins stuck in-route
  • Briefing on the first consent alert up for drivers if they start to deviate the route
  • Ability to customize featured emergency contacts in every trip

Value Proposition

To decrease driver rating bias and increase user satisfaction.
